July Ghosts

Trying to get back to working the themes for the Halloween SAL.  I decided to work on this Mill Hill kit, for my July selection.
It went into hiding under some papers and I couldn't find him.  I started looking for something quick to stitch. This freebie, from Hobby Loco, filled the bill.  I stitched it with  Kreinik #8 Braid 054F. This is a florescent fiber and glows in the dark.

I've started the finishing. I'm attaching the rick rack with black beads.  Hope to add some decorated pins also.

(slightly out of focus, sorry)
I was on 123 Stitch and found this lovely ghost pattern. After I got my order I saw that there he has 2 brothers. So guess who's on the way here in my next order. Yeah! I think they are just lovely.

This is Essence, Ellis and Eerie are the other 2 in the Trilogy.

Bits and Pieces

I had hoped to have my DN Cheer Angel done this month. It didn't happen. I had to order some more fiber and although it arrived in record time, I haven't been of a mind to finish her. So no progress there.

I did put in the back stitching on my 12 Days Partridge Ornament and also stitched Dove and Hens. Hens still needs back stitching around the word but that shouldn't take too long.

I was naughty and started 2 new projects, Halloween at Hollyberry Farm and 2017 Fragments in Time. I'm stitching my Fragments on one piece of linen, 40ct Wren from PTP. This was a suggestion from by friend CarolB I was able to put in enough of the border to get a start on Fragment No. 1.

July: Cheer Angel

Sharing my progress on my, Painted Pony, painted canvas project from last month Wings are almost done. I've also been working on her dress. Thus far my fibers have been Crystal Braid, sz 8 perle cotton, 6 strand floss, and Frey Werks. I'm planing to use some Silk Lame' Braid to add some sparkle to her wings.

June Update: Glad to be back

I haven't done much stitching, blog reading or blogging, since my last post. I'm slowly getting back to stitching, and am challenging myself to get this post out before the end of the month. Hope I get chance to read some blogs next time I off work. I will be using this post for 4 SALs, Gifted Gorgeousness, Christmas Ornament and WIPocalypse 2017, and Stitching Smlls.

Currently, I'm working on Painted Pony's, I Love to Cheer Angel for my DN. I've stitched over some of the original design elements in favor of my DN's gym colors.

All but the back stitching is done on my first Hands On Design, 12 Days Ornament. Hope to get that completed soon so that I can get on the next ornament.

My DN graduated HS last month. I finished her graduation angel, just in the nick of time.  Well to be honest, it was very close to the wire. Yes fellow stitchers, I was attaching the twisted cord while waiting for the ceremony to start. But, praise be, I had it all done and ready for the family get together after graduation. She was very thrilled to receive it.

March: WIPoclaypse Check-In

My Graduation Angel's skirt is almost done. Need to fill-in some stitches and add some beads to the center of the gray motifs. Now I have to decide on a stitch and fiber for her wings, and blouse. I'll most likely be stitching her collar with a Kreinik braid.

Since I took this picture, I stitched the mortar board using Very Velvet V201

My other WIP project that saw some March love was the Bristol Sampler Stitching Bag. I stitched the scissor fob panels and the thread winder.

Wonder of Wonders, I had a finish, finish this month. Hope to share with you soon.

Grad Angel

Hosted by Jo at Serendipitous Stitching

My major gift stitching this month was my DN's Painted Pony Graduation Angel.

I'm loving my progress so far.
